MFT Graduate Intern

Yijie (Ee-Gee) adopts a collaborative, insightful, and strength-based approach to therapy. She firmly believes in her clients' innate power and is dedicated to helping them rediscover their healing capabilities. Yijie creates a safe and non-judgemental space for her clients to explore and nurture authentic connections with themselves and others.  

Yijie is bilingual in Chinese Mandarin and works with individuals, couples, and families from diverse cultural backgrounds. As a womxn of color, she is committed to supporting marginalized communities, including people of color, LGBTQIA+, international folx, and other underrepresented groups. Yijie is passionate about exploring how clients’ complex identities impact their self-view and social life. She also equips her clients with valuable skills and tools to cultivate self-acceptance and build confidence in relationships. Her clinical interests include relational conflicts, life transitions, children/teen support, and post-trauma healing.

Yijie earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the Ohio State University and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Couple and Family Therapy at Adler University. She is actively working towards a Certificate in Sex Therapy and has completed Level 1 of the Gottman Method training.
