AMY WREN,

MFT Graduate Intern

Amy believes that when we dare to be vulnerable, we invite genuine connections with others, let go of expectations, and honor our values and passions. As someone who carries her heart on her sleeve, Amy understands and celebrates emotions and the clarity they can provide. She brings curiosity, empathy, and, many times, laughter into every interaction with the awareness that healing is not a “one size fits all” experience.

Amy’s journey into therapy began with a curiosity about the stories we tell ourselves and how they impact our emotional well-being. Embarking on her second career, Amy brings a diverse wealth of experiences and insights from her previous endeavors. She has a background in cultivating relationships and channels this skill into her work with adolescents, adults, and couples. Amy specializes in narrative therapy with a solution-focused approach. She is passionate about working with clients who are navigating anxiety, self-doubt, and life transitions to assist them in transforming their narrative. She recognizes and appreciates the significance of personal stories and how they shape our lives; By embracing the power of storytelling, we allow ourselves to heal and grow.

Amy is pursuing her Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northcentral University. She earned her Bachelor of Business in Business Management from Western Illinois University. When she is not in the therapy room, you can find her getting lost in her artwork, making memories with her family, and attempting to build and fix things around the house that she should really leave to the professionals.
